The producers of Love Don’t Let Me Down, a feature film starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw, are seeking 2,000-2,500 extras for a concert scene featuring the Oscar-winning actress. McGraw, who has a non-singing role in the movie, will welcome the crowd when the filming takes place Feb. 2 at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium. The scene depicts the moment when superstar singer Kelly Canter (played by Paltrow) performs at a comeback concert. Appearing as her opening acts in the scene are Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) and Garrett Hedlund (Tron Legacy). All of the actors will perform to pre-recorded tracks of songs written by Nashville songwriters. Also performing are the Lost Trailers, an opening act on McGraw’s upcoming tour. McGraw portrays Canter’s manager-husband in the film directed by Shana Feste. Extras seeking to participate as audience members will be admitted to the Municipal Auditorium at 4 p.m. All participants must be at least 18 years old.
